Terms & Conditions
We hope that you love your fabric and enjoy planning your interior scheme. Putting creativity to one side here's all the necessary and practical bits and bobs that we need to mention...
Measurements:
Prices are per linear metre with an average usable fabric width of 137cm (actual fabric widthapprox 150cm). Please note both fabric widths and pattern repeats are given as approximates, to be used as a guide in selecting how many metres to buy. It is the responsibility of the person sewing the fabric/making up curtains to measure actual pattern repeats prior to cutting. Minimum order quantity is 1 metre.
Fabric use/suitability:
Please note that linen fabrics can sometimes be delicate. Please select a fabric that best suits the way you live. In selecting a pure (100%) linen fabric (code A). Be aware that pure linen is made from natural fibres. Our pure linen is suitable for blinds, curtains and cushions. We would recommend this fabric base for occasionally-upholstery use only for example: a bedroom or landing sofa not for furniture in daily/regular use.
Code B fabrics are a heavier weight linen/cotton blend making them perfect for ALL types of soft furnishing and UPHOLSTERY (30.000 martindale abraison testing result - far exceeding the British testing standards for general domestic upholstery).
Whilst our fabrics are printed and tested to approved British standards any natural linen by nature will fade over time if exposed directly to sunlight. Please ALWAYS use a good quality lining fabric with your curtains or blinds to minimise the long term effects of bright light.
Swatches & Colour:
We do offer a swatch service in order to help you make the right selection prior to ordering fabric lengths. Please do to 'SHOP ONLINE' to order swatches.
We would always advise ordering fabric swatches prior to placing a fabric length order. We would recommend you keep your swatch for at least 24 hours so that you can see it in different lights throughout the day prior to placing full orders. As with any paint colours and room schemes some colours may alter slightly in different light.
Our swatches are now free of charge for up to 5 swatches (postage & packaging£2.50). For between 5 - 10 swatches we charge £4.50 postage & packaging. The maximum number of swatches we can send out on this basis is 10 (different designs). If your swatch order exceeds this we will contact you prior to dispatch to ask for your preferred selection. We are unable to process multiple swatch orders of the same prints (other than to approved trade stocksits). Please do hot hesitate to contact us should you wish to discuss this further.
We charge £2.50 - £3.50 for a larger swatch approximately A4 in size (postage & packaging as above). We would recommend seeing a larger swatch for a larger pattern. If you would rather not purchase a large swatch please contact us as we will happily email you a photo of a full print.
Please note that whilst we endeavour to colour match every fabric as closely as possible, as with any printed fabric on a natural fibre such linen, colour appearance may vary slightly from batch to batch. Linen fibres themselves also occasionally vary according to crop. With this in mind please order your fabric as close to the time of ordering a swatch.
Payment & Refunds:
Whilst we hope that you are delighted with your fabric…

Technical Stuff:
1. InspectEachRoll
Before cutting and hanging this wallcovering, ensure that all rolls have the same batch reference, are in good condition, have no shade variation and that no other faults are present. Please ensure that there are enough rolls to complete the job.
Do not assume that the wallcovering will come off the roll the correct way up. Always refer to the pattern book or check with the retailer.
Examination before hanging is the buyer’s responsibility. No claim can be accepted for hanging incorrect wallcoverings or after wallcoverings have been cut and hung showing defects which were apparent at the time of hanging. In the event of any complaint, please quote the design reference and batch number on this label.
2. Preparation
Walls should be clean, dry and even.
Remove any old wallcovering and loose paint and scrape off powdery, flaky surfaces.
Roughen painted surfaces with sandpaper. Absorbent surfaces should be prepared with an oil based primer ensuring it dries completely before continuing.
New plaster should be allowed to dry out completely.
Metallic effects can be damaged if high levels of alkaline are already present in the walls. Preparing the walls with an alkaline resistant primer should prevent any damage of this type.
For best results we recommend walls are cross lined using good quality lining paper. Sizing the lining paper will aid adhesion. Lining should be allowed to dry completely before hanging the wallcovering.
3. Pasting and Hanging
This is a ‘paste the wall product’. The decorator should paste the wall and not the back of the wallcovering.
A premium quality tub adhesive, or an equivalent good quality pH neutral, solvent-free, fungicide protected, light grade adhesive should be used.
DO NOT USE SELF-MIX ADHESIVES. ALL PURPOSE AND HEAVY DUTY PASTES ARE NOT SUITABLE.
Paste should be evenly applied to the wall to hang 1 length at a time,to an areas lightly wider than the width of the roll.
Butt joins and use a decorator’s brush to smooth down the wallcovering, working from the centre to the edges to express air bubbles. NB. If this is a flocked wallcovering, use only a clean, soft roller, NOT a decorator’s brush.
Avoid squeezing paste out of joins and ensure paste does not get onto the brush or roller.
No paste should be allowed to come into contact with the surface of the paper and hands should be kept clean and dry whilst handling the wallcovering.
Paste will damage the surface, particularly flocked areas. The company cannot accept responsibility for marks or damage caused by paste. Should any paste have been allowed to come into contact with the surface, it should be lightly sponged off whilst moist, using a clean, damp sponge.
Trim top and bottom with a sharp knife or scissors. Ensure wallcovering is firmly adhered as, in the event of fire, loose wallcoverings can contribute to the hazard.
After hanging 2 or 3 lengths, inspect the result to ensure that no shading or other faults are present. No claim for hanging costs can be accepted once more than one roll has been hung.
