Spotlight on Summer Meadow

Revisiting a Classic Summer Design

With thoughts turning to the Summer Solstice, and to celebrate the sun finally making an appearance, we wanted to focus on an evocative, seasonal design. Let the enduring fuzzy feeling of Summer Meadow transport you to those hazy warmer days.

Created as part of the design collaboration with Bee Osborn, Summer Meadow is a busy and friendly pattern that is reminiscent of time spent outdoors in the height of summer when all of nature is bountifully untamed and abundant.

The pattern benefits from two different base fabrics that offer differing effects. On oatmeal the pattern gives an organic and timeless quality, that could be best used in high traffic areas. Whilst on the white base fabric, the cow parsley print is accentuated, and the details of the design become more apparent, providing a fresher overall look.

For a neutral scheme, both these base fabrics work well alongside Little Greene paint colours, Linen Wash (33), and Joanna (130), or Farrow & Ball colour, Strong White (2001).
